How We Build Our Concrete Pools
1. Design and Planning
This is the first and most important step. We don’t start a pool until we have a clear and focused plan that reflects your wishes and our building experience and knowledge. We will consult with you on a variety of things such as size, shape, placement, access, finishes and timeframes for the job, prior to the commencement. A contract of works is signed before construction/instillation begins.
2. Excavation
An excavator and tipper will arrive on-site to dig out the land to match the desired shape and size of the pool. Excess dirt will be removed and dumped.
3. Shell reinforcing & plumbing
S12 pool steel bars are formed into a cage structure which provides strength and reinforcement to the concrete shell of the pool. This ensures the pool does not crack or break once the concrete shell is sprayed.
Plumbing pipes will be laid within the steel frame in preparation for concrete.
4. Concrete Shell
Concrete trucks and a concrete pump work together to spray the shell of the pool. This is the step where things really start to take shape! Concrete is sprayed to form the shell and cut into shape by experienced concreters. Our well proven construction techniques, based on the strongest concrete specification in line with Australian Standards, are supported by a ten year structural warranty.
5. Plumbing and Finish
The surface of your pool is applied with your choice of interior product (tiles, pebbles, quartzon, etc) and features such as waterfalls and natural rocks are added to enhance the pool.
Pluming is connected to the pump, chlorinator and filtration, and the pool is ready to be filled.
Concrete pools are initially set up as chlorinated pools and then switched to salt water after 3 months.
A hand over of the pool will be done with you to ensure you are fully aware of the cleaning and operating requirements of the new pool. Failure to maintain the pool water within appropriate ph level may result in damage to the pools surface or plumbing systems. Such damage will not be covered under warranty.
